Placing an order

Our products are made to order and to your personal requirements.  The time between placing an order and receiving your tipi or yurt can vary depending on our current work load.

If you are in any rush to receive your tipi or yurt, you should contact us ASAP to confirm your order.  We can then allot time in our schedule.  Your detailed requirements can be worked out over the next week or two (with help and advice from us where needed).

If you would like a quote, please contact us with your requirements.

  • Quotes are valid for 6 weeks.  If you confirm your order after this period, you will be subject to the current prices at the time.
  • If completion of an order is significantly delayed from your end (ie waiting for permits) there may also be price rises applied.

Ordering a Tipi

We will need the following information, preferably via email:

  • The size of tipi you require.
  • The colour you require (normally natural or beige).
  • If you want us to supply poles (you may wish to harvest your own).
  • What optional extras you wish to purchase e.g liner, raincatcher.
  • Your address and phone number so that we can quote a freight price.

Once we have all the information a quote can be prepared.
We require a $1000.00 deposit per tipi to confirm an order and the balance just before delivery*

Ordering a Yurt

We will need the following information, preferably via email:

  • The size of yurt you require.
  • The colours you require. Colour chart here.
  • The shapes, sizes and positions of your windows. Window info here. -- Design template here.
  • Whether you want insulation for the ceiling, walls or both and if you want heavy or light weight option.
  • Whether you want a flue outlet and if so the position.
  • Whether you intend to permit your yurt and therefore require specifically graded timber framing.
  • Your address and phone number so that we can quote a freight price.

Please email or call us if you need any help or just want some advice on deciding on the design specifics for your yurt.

Once we have all the information a quote can be prepaired.
We require a $1000.00 deposit per yurt to confirm an order.  When we are ready to start work we will request a further $4000.00 and the balance just before delivery*

Freight

We use TIL Freight and normally freight to the nearest depot, as a forklift is often needed to unload the box.  Customers then collect the box with a trailer.  Once you get the yurt home, you can open the box (square drive screwdriver needed) and unpack your yurt piece by piece.  If you are unable to collect, we can enquire about delivery to your door but this can be significantly more expensive as a truck with a Hiab crane will be needed for the delivery.

*Deposit and refund policy

Your place in the production queue will be secured on receipt of the $1000.00 deposit. If you cancel your order prior to work commencing, the deposit is 50% refundable ($500). Once we have received the second deposit and started work on your order, the deposit is refundable less any losses we will incur either modifying or on-selling the item.

If, as has happened on a few occasions, we complete the order and you for any reason do not make the final payment within 3 months, we reserve the right to on-sell your product, and the deposit will be considered non-refundable, unless by negotiation and agreement from us.
