"I've been writing this email in my head for weeks, here it is at last”

I want you guys to know that literally every day, usually many times a day, I look at my yurt and so appreciate its beauty, aesthetics, meticulous design, and feel the love and passion that went into making it. I so love living in it!
At about 3.5 years old, to me it still looks like new. Thank you guys.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and the team at Jaia.
We put our yurt up over the weekend and everything went according to the plan you supplied....very straight forward and components fit beautifully. We now have an awesome space that we are really happy with. Once again, thanks guys.

The yurt arrived and Mark was able to pick it up on the double-axle trailer and unload at our place with one septuagenarian neighbour and friend. Two more helpers arrived of the same era so Mark who is 62 and 3 blokes in their 70s erected the yurt in under 4 hours (for your future reference). To be fair, the chaps are all pretty fit and men of the land so to speak.
The atmosphere was one of fun (teasing) and amazement, at the ease in putting the pieces of the puzzle together and then how fantastic the finished build was. They were very impressed by the quality (as are we) of the finished product. I will attach some photos for you.
I have moved my office into the yurt and we have stayed the night once. We have a temporary fix for the electricity until the electrician connects us up and we have just hung curtains.

We are thrilled with our yurt and thank you all for the quality accommodation we now have.

We have influenced quite a few who are considering building a yurt for retirement, extra room and retreat.

I purchased my first Jaia 7m diameter yurt in 2014 - over ten years ago. The yurt was initially purposed as a Yoga studio in Wanaka for use all year round, so it was important to me that the insulation properties were good. With an insulated floor, and the 90mm wool insulation in the roof with wool insulated walls, and thermal curtains the yurt was able to be kept at a comfortable practice temperature even for 6am classes at minus 6 degrees outside. This was achieved with the heat source a 2.4 kw micathermic heater and a 400w wall panel heater, both electric. It was a warm space to welcome students to on a winter morning. Over the years there were significant snowfall events which the yurt handled easily.
The yurt is now repurposed as my living space, and is still in good shape, having been in use constantly for nearly 11 years. It is a joy to live in ...spacious, well ventilated and secure in any weather. The solar wear on the stitching (the sun in Wanaka is a savage beast) meant that I had the roof stitching redone by Jaia after about 9 years but other than that the yurt has needed no replacement parts.
I also have a 5 m yurt with Dacron insulation that is used as an easily transportable camping set up.
I can totally recommend these yurts as a high quality product, with a hands-on production team who operate with great integrity. Wanaka has a challenging climate both summer and winter, and the yurt handles it all brilliantly.

"Thanks so much for our beautiful yurt!"

It took two of us about 5 hours of hard labour to put it up in the wind with a slightly inadequate ladder, but not as tricky as we anticipated given how big it was and our total lack of experience.
The instructions were super helpful and we were very relieved to find them on top of everything in the box! Everything was really professionally made and we are stoked with the quality and the result. It is blowing a gale here this morning and the yurt seems to be plenty solid, although we do have some windbreaks under construction to reduce our anxiety levels as it is quite a windy site."
A year later.... "If you want testimonials as to how strong they are, we live in an area rated as an extreme high wind zone, and it really is! The yurt has coped amazingly and held up in winds that demolished sheds and ripped the new spouting off the house".

Sorry it's taken me so long to contact you...
The tipi is so beautiful and is so hard to leave (hence the reason I haven't been near the internet much!) - thank you for the amazing quality and all the positive energy that has been put into producing it.
We have tentative dreams for another one to hold workshops in, so hope to be in touch in the future, if all goes to plan :)
Kerry and family - Christchurch
I'd like to thank you for the beautifully made tipi.
We have a 5m we bought off you in 2007 and it'll be going up this weekend for it's eighth summer by the sea. She's seen some BIG storms too, and not a single rip or tear... it's kept my girl and our 3 kids sheltered, warm and (mostly) dry, very, very well. It's seen all the kids as babies too which is nice.

Just wanted to let you know we have shifted into the yurt. It's amazing. We are so pleased. What a lovely space to live in and the timing was perfect. Thank you so much for having it ready for us on time. This was much appreciated. There is so much interest here in it so hoping more orders will come your way.
Warmest regards and thanks again.

Wow, it is a totally amazing construction, I feel as if I have always been in it, feel so familiar and so ancient....fabulous.
Many blessings for your grand service , the Jaia Yurt, to humanity.

We absolutely love the job you have done on our yurt. It took us around 3 hours to put up but that was ok. The backpackers are loving it as a dining space and it has caused lots of discussions and interest. Thanks again for the wonderful level of craftsmanship.

Fiona - J's Backpackers, Hamilton
The tipi arrived on the Barrier today, and is now standing tall next to the creek on our land. Mum and Dad are overwhelmed, "the gift of a lifetime" they reckon :) The building process went smoothly, just a few finishing touches tomorrow and we'll all be sleeping in it tomorrow night!
Thanks so much, the tipi is exactly what I dreamed of.
